Looking for a fun, creative activity in Haarlem that gets kids away from their screens and into the kitchen?

The Junior Pasta Party is a hands-on pasta-making workshop designed especially for young food lovers aged 10–14. Over approximately 2 hours, they'll learn to make fresh pasta from scratch, enjoy plenty of delicious food, and leave with new skills, recipes, and memories they'll be talking about long after the flour has been cleaned off their aprons.

No cooking experience is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and a big appetite.

All workshops are held in English.

The Junior Pasta Party includes lot’s of delicious food. On arrival, attendees will be greeted by mini grilled cheese toasties and lemonade. We will then make and cook tagliatelle (made with egg and flour) in a creamy tomato sauce. For dessert, we usually have a vanilla cake (for birthdays) or vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Please make any dietary requirements or allergies clear when booking.

Private group bookings are available for 6 to 10 guests.

A minimum booking of 6 guests applies (€330). Groups smaller than 6 are welcome to book at the minimum rate.

The Junior Pasta Party is a drop-off workshop, giving children the chance to build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy the experience independently.

You're welcome to come inside at the beginning to help them settle in and snap a few photos before the workshop starts. At the end, we'll invite you back in so you can see what they've made and take a few more pictures before heading home.

To make the day even more special, we'll also take a Polaroid photo of each child making pasta, which they'll receive as a keepsake to take home.

We do everything we can to accommodate dietary needs, but due to the size of our workshop space and the nature of pasta making, we cannot offer a gluten-free experience. The flour used by other guests can easily contaminate shared surfaces, making it unsafe for those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.

We take food allergies seriously and do our best to minimize cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements—such as vegan or vegetarian preferences—please let us know at least one week in advance via the contact form or by emailing info@thepastastudio.nl. This gives us time to plan accordingly and ensure a safe, delicious experience for everyone.

Our workshops are non‑refundable. However, if your plans change, you're welcome to transfer your booking to another date up to 14 days before the scheduled workshop.

Transfer or cancellations: Transfers or cancellations made within 14 days of your class cannot be refunded or moved.

Unforeseen Circumstances: In rare cases (e.g. chef illness, venue issues), we may have to postpone or cancel. In that case, we’ll notify you as quickly as possible and offer either a full refund or the choice of a replacement class.
